Create Jobs To Be Done Agent
We drive the future of Product Management in Europe

The Create Jobs-to-be-Done Agent helps transform customer knowledge into a structured set of Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD).
It starts from available customer evidence—such as customer insights, needs, interviews, observations, journey information or other documents—and progressively identifies the real progress customers are trying to make.
The Agent helps users move beyond the solutions customers may initially mention and distinguish:
Solution → Immediate Need → Deeper Need → Job-to-be-Done
Its objective is not to identify the deepest possible human motivation, but to find the right level of abstraction: independent enough from a specific solution to open new opportunities, yet concrete enough to guide product decisions.
You can give the Agent:
You can also provide the information manually if no structured input is available.
The Agent analyzes the available evidence and, starting from a specific user description and a selected phase of the User Journey, identifies the relevant Jobs-to-be-Done by examining the material provided as input.
It explores the different dimensions of each job, including functional, emotional, and social aspects, when supported by the available evidence.
The Agent formulates JTBDs by balancing solution independence and product relevance. The objective is to avoid statements that are too close to a specific solution, while also avoiding jobs that are so generic that they provide little guidance for product decisions.
Whenever appropriate, it uses a consistent syntax:
When [situation/context], I want to [job/progress], so that I can [desired outcome].
Each JTBD can remain connected to the customer insight, need, User Journey stage, or source evidence from which it was derived.
The resulting Jobs-to-be-Done can become part of the Product Intelligence Base and provide an input for subsequent activities, such as
analysis of the User Experience or definition of Product Requirements
The Agent supports analysis and structuring, but its outputs should not automatically be considered customer truth.
Jobs-to-be-Done generated or inferred by AI should be reviewed and validated by a human, and whenever possible checked against direct customer evidence.
The Agent should therefore be used as a tool to accelerate reasoning and structure knowledge—not as a substitute for customer understanding.
